Harborlane Pools

Our Process

How a cover fitting comes together

The full sequence Harborlane Pools follows for every assessment and fitting around North York, Ontario.

What's included

Every assessment covers

The assessment is the same whether you are fitting a first cover or replacing one that has outlived its spring tension. We treat it as the one visit that sets up everything after it, which is why we spend the time to get the measurements right rather than estimating from a photo or a phone description.

  • A walk of the full deck perimeter
  • Measurement of pool shape and clearance
  • A check of any existing anchor hardware
  • A written cover-type recommendation
  • A starting-range estimate for both cover styles
  • Time to answer questions about the fitting

Nothing about the assessment is rushed to fit a sales quota — there is no commission tied to recommending the pricier solid cover over a mesh one, so the recommendation reflects the pool, not a target.

Scope limits

What we don't do

Harborlane Pools fits safety covers and their anchor hardware. We do not build pools, resurface decks, repair pool shells or carry out general pool cleaning or chemical service. Where a deck needs structural work before anchors can be placed, we say so in the written assessment rather than fitting a cover to an unsuitable surface. Being upfront about what falls outside our scope means a referral to the right trade, rather than a cover fitted to a deck that cannot hold it safely.

  • —No pool construction or shell repair
  • —No deck resurfacing or structural work
  • —No general pool cleaning or chemical balancing
  • —No above-ground inflatable pool covers

Scheduling

Lead times

Assessments are usually scheduled within a few business days of your first message, Monday – Friday, 09:00–18:00. Fitting visits follow once the written recommendation is confirmed, generally within one to two weeks depending on hardware availability and weather. We will tell you plainly if a date needs to move. Spring and early summer are our busiest months, since that is when most households book a first-time cover or a season-opening service visit, so booking a few weeks ahead tends to land the date you actually want.

Weather drives most schedule changes on our end — heavy rain or high wind on a fitting day makes it harder to tension a cover correctly, so we would rather move a visit a day or two than fit it badly. We always call ahead with a new time rather than simply not showing up, and the rebooked date is usually within the same week.

Not included

What a fitting price doesn't cover

The listed prices cover the assessment, the cover itself and standard anchor hardware. They do not include deck repair, replacement of damaged coping, or removal of a previous installer's anchors if those need extra work to extract. Any such cost is identified during the assessment and quoted separately before work begins, so the written estimate you receive after that visit is the number you can plan around rather than a floor that moves once fitting starts.
